Epoxy Floor and Concrete Polishing Technician

Design Crete is an industry leader in commercial epoxy flooring and concrete polishing in the Sioux Falls area. We are growing and looking to add crew members with previous experience in concrete polishing & epoxy floor coatings. If you are someone with experience and looking to build upon those skills and help others learn this skill, this position is for you!

We are seeking someone to work as a part of our flooring install teams as a dependable, experienced & professional technician who knows some of the unique challenges that polishing concrete & applying floor coatings can present.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Surface Preparation: Using grinders to remove existing coatings, epoxy, or surface imperfections.

  • Grinding & Polishing: Operating machinery through multiple steps of diamond grinding.

  • Chemical Application: Applying densifiers, grouts, and sealers to harden and protect the concrete.

  • General Labor: Cleaning, machine maintenance, and material handling on job sites.

The ideal candidate would have some experience & aptitude in reading and following blueprints. As a crew member with experience in concrete polishing & coatings, you would be expected to learn our processes and have the ability to assist in training and overseeing other crew members. Starting pay will depend on experience. Leadership & advancement opportunities are available for the right person.

Our crews meet at our shop in Tea each morning and travel to jobsites from there. Jobsites are typically in the Sioux Falls area, occasionally some overnight travel is required (possibly 1-2 times per year). Expect to get 40 hours per week, our crews do not typically work on nights, weekends, or holidays.

Pay range will depend on previous job experience. Starting pay will be more with a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.

We offer paid holidays, PTO, workwear allowances, health insurance and retirement plan with employer matching available upon eligibility at 90 days.
